Product Description Paint scarred and chrome chipped by shrapnel from a hundred battles, he is the oldest of the Autobots. His right hip is a mass of bypases and temporary solutions, his power core and timing system are irregular and his idle is set way too high; but his optics are the sharpest on Cybertron, and his cannon arm is as steady as ever. Optimus prime relies on him for tactical advice and cool head. As long as they keep making missiles compatible with his cannons, he'll keep fighting, until every last Decepticon is a smoldering wreck. Measures 7".

Great for my Nephew June 21, 2009 Lori Gutierrez (Fort Myers FL.) My Nephew loved this guy He is also a Collectable so it was worth the purchase
Fun if your a machnicle builder December 6, 2008 Carol A. Blanpied Although these great toys have a great rep. I wouldn't recomend this to many people. it breaks and is hard to "transform"
Mine was defective I think... September 15, 2008 Pet Parent 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been tranforming toys since I was a kid and it still took me, my boyfriend and the internet to figure out one of the steps. I couldn't get the blasted thing to spin around (step 5-8). It finally did, after we kinda forced him. Secondly the plug thing that pops into a socket (his hips into his torso) doesn't fit into the socket so he's not completed! So ingoring that problem to later we found that his chest (the GMC logo parts) don't stay down like in the picuters so instead of having a level chest, he has more of a "V" chest. That's pretty annoying. He looks like he'll fall apart at any second. I'm so sad! I've wanted him for so long and after finding him in a local store, he doesn't even work perfectly. I'm going to pack him back up and exchange him for another. Hopefully it was just mine that was defective and not every single Ironhide out there.
Oh, also his back (the truck's roof) pops off really really easy. But it'll pop back on.
Size wise he looks great compared to the other "normal" toys such as Bee, Jazz and Arcee. He's bulky-er than the voyager Prime so they look a little weird next to each other, but it's not big deal. I've got the voyager Prime, Ironhide, Megatron and soon Ratchet and I don't have any problems with any of them EXCEPT for this Ironhide. Does anyone else have those problems too?
Awesome Toy May 10, 2008 Superheroes fan Ironhide is fun to transform. I think he's not quite as complicated to transform in comparison to others. I would say that it works well for 9 year olds and up. It might have too many nuances to maneuver for a younger child. The automorph feature is sturdy. It looks very stunning in robot mode. And it's sturdy in truck mode. You can't do without the weapons specialist of the autobots!
my favorite of them all February 22, 2008 Luis A. Saldana (red hot louie) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this transformer. The amazing detail on it is killer. A little challenging to transform at the beginning, but it got easier after a few times. My 5 year old can almost transform it, just needs to get over the fear of breaking it. It's not breakable or of week material, if anything it will pop off..but you can put back together easily. But I do agree, should not be intended for small children. I think my son enjoys it b/c I play w/him sometimes.
